Word of the Lord for 2018
"For a wide door for effective service has opened to me, and there are many adversaries."
1st Corinthians 16:9
Every year God begins to deal with me about the upcoming year. As a prophetic voice, I always map out time during the end of the year to lean in and listen intently to what God desires to say for the upcoming year. I believe 2018 will be the greatest year that the body of Christ has ever seen. We’ve hit a tipping point and everything has been culminating in the realm of the spirit. There is a sifting, shaping and synergizing that God has been doing within the ekkleisa. We have been feeling the birthing pains and now we are coming into the season of delivery. I am expecting and anticipating this to be a monumental year for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
We have hit the year 5778 on the hebraic calendar. I know that not everybody is familiar with biblical numerics so I will do my best to explain. The jewish calendar does not operate like a traditional calendar. The jewish new year starts around the end of September and early October. It is always a powerful time and a pregnant prophetic moment. It was around this time that God started dealing with me about 2018. The Hebrew language is a pictorial language. Therefore, the picture for 5778 is a gate. 2018 is the year of the open gate or the open portal. 5778 also depicts a sword pointed forward. This symbolizes prophetically advancement and going through the gates. Ultimately, 5778 is a year of new beginnings, advancement and taking new territory for the Kingdom of God. In my research I discovered that 18 represents freedom from bondage. I believe 2018 will be a year where many will be loosed from bondages that have oppressed them generationally. 2018 will be a year of liberty and freedom for God’s people.
While I could write a book on the prophetic imagery of 18, I want to make sure that I get to the word that God gave me for this year. God said that 2018 would be a year of gates. Gates are entry ways and access points. However, more importantly gates are portals. This is a year of open gates. God is going to give the ekklesia new warfare strategies to go through the gates and to advance the Kingdom of God. Please be advised that an open gate is not a symbol of automatic victory. You can expect to fight some battles this year. In fact, gates were always places of warfare in the word of God. There will be great battles in the gates but it will also be a year of great victory. We will experience great adversaries but this is a year where the Kingdom of God will advance without lost and nothing will be able to stop our momentum in this era. Open gates also represent opportunity. 2018 will be a year of divine opportunity for the body of Christ. Divine opportunity will always be met with demonic opposition. However, opposition will be the catalyst to opportunity in 2018.
This is also a year of glory. The ekklesia will see a release of glory unlike any other moment in history. I sense greatly that there will be a great increase of signs, wonders and miracles. In fact, God said to me that this would be a year of baptism, fire and encounters. 2018 will be a year where God breathes on the ekklesia once again. I literally saw the book of Acts coming alive in a new way. New prophetic streams and apostolic veins will flow. We will see the activation of spiritual gifts and new waves of glory unlike anything we have ever seen before. 2018 is literally a year where the body of Christ will manifest the Kingdom. The ekklesia is being activated for demonstration. God is endowing the ekkelsia to express the Kingdom in every sphere of influence. The scripture that God gave me was Habakkuk 2:14 which says for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. This is the era where people will not just have a touch from God. No, this is the era where many will have encounters and they will be changed into the image of Jesus Christ. When you truly encounter the glory the divine nature takes over. The weight of the glory will bring down kingdoms and will bring the ekklesia to its knees. Waves of glory will sweep the earth and great times of refreshing will come from the presence of God.
Most importantly, 2018 will be a year of new grounds. Gates are symbols of power and influence. This is a year of expansion for the ekklesia. God is empowering us with a supernatural anointing to possess the gates of the enemy. This is a year where we will be empowered by God to take new territory for the Kingdom of God. Demonic squatters have illegally occupied lands, properties and territories for generations. However, the Amalekites are getting ready to encounter David’s. Yes, a generation of warriors are rising up with a mantle for war to dispossess every enemy that is on Kingdom territory. The spirit of robbery has been broken and this is a year where the ekklesia will go in and possess the land that God has promised. Things the enemy once said were impossible will become possible in 2018. One of the ways that we will possess new grounds is through unity. As believers get on one accord, God is going to multiply our strength and release uncommon strategies for victory. Unity will be one of the greatest warfare strategies of 2018. Believers will come together and we will see new territory brought under the rule of the Kingdom. These new grounds extend well beyond the church. This is a year that we will see the mantles of Joseph, Daniel and Esther multiply in the earth. God is raising up leaders in the seven mountains of culture to bring reformation. We will see an explosion of Kingdom trailblazers rising up and reforming the marketplace. The mantle of prophetic evangelism will intensify and we will see the transformation of organizations. The prevailing ones are emerging and they will contend for every promise. God will expand your rule and lengthen your cords in 2018. Stay positioned to possess what God has promised you in 2018!
Truly, 2018 will be a monumental year for the Kingdom of God. I am excited and my spirit is ignited. While this will be a year of great advancement it will also be a year of great exposing. God will pull the covers off of corruption and we will see judgement hit the body of Christ in a major way. The ax is at the root and every tree that does not bear fruit is coming down. This is not to alarm us or to discourage us. However, judgement and justice are both part of the character of God. 2018 is a year that everything that has competed with the glory is being removed. The idols that have replaced the altar will be burned up and God will restore His house. God’s house will once again become a house of prayer. Strength, honor and reverence will once again return to the house of God!
